About This Service
A backyard pool changes everything. Suddenly you're spending summer weekends at home instead of fighting traffic to the Cape. The kids have friends over constantly. You actually use your backyard.
We build custom inground pools throughout all of Massachusetts, both gunite vinyl liner. We handle everything from initial design through hardscaping and final landscaping. When we're done, you have a complete outdoor environment, not just a hole with water in it.
Gunite pools are what most people picture when they think of a high-end custom pool. We spray concrete over steel reinforcement to create a structure that can be any shape or size you imagine. Want a beach entry? Tanning ledge? Integrated spa? Vanishing edge? Gunite makes it possible. These pools are built to last decades, and while they cost more initially, they're often worth it for homeowners who want something truly custom.
Vinyl liner pools offer a more affordable path to pool ownership. Modern liners are durable and come in attractive patterns, and the construction timeline is shorter. For families who want a great pool without stretching their budget, vinyl liner is a solid choice.
Either way, we're building more than a pool. We're creating an outdoor living destination. That means thoughtful integration with your patio and hardscape, proper fencing that meets Massachusetts requirements without looking like an afterthought, equipment placement that minimizes noise, and landscaping that provides privacy and frames the space beautifully.
Massachusetts pool construction requires experience with our climate. We engineer for frost heave, install proper drainage, and build pool systems that can handle our weather patterns. We've seen what happens to pools built by companies unfamiliar with New England conditions, and it's not pretty.
What's Included
Our Process
Design Consultation
We'll visit your property to discuss what you're looking for, assess the site, and talk through options. Pool shape and size, gunite versus vinyl, features like spas or water elements, how the pool relates to your house and yard—we cover it all. You'll leave with a clear sense of possibilities and budget ranges.
Engineering and Permits
Pool permitting in Massachusetts involves building, electrical, and often board of health approvals. We handle all of it. Our engineers design the structure for local soil conditions and frost requirements. This phase takes 2-3 weeks depending on your town.
Excavation
This is when it gets real. Our excavation crew digs the pool shape while carefully managing access and protecting the rest of your property. We've done this hundreds of times and know how to minimize disruption, even in tight backyard spaces.
Pool Structure
For gunite pools, we install the steel reinforcement cage and spray concrete to form the shell. For vinyl liner pools, we install the wall panels and floor system. Plumbing is roughed in and electrical conduit is placed. Inspections happen at each phase.
Equipment and Interior
We install your pump, filter, heater, and any automation systems. Pool coping goes in around the edge. For gunite pools, we apply the interior finish—plaster, pebble, or tile. For vinyl, the liner is carefully installed and fitted.
Decking, Landscaping, and Startup
We complete the surrounding patio, install fencing, and finish landscaping. Then we fill the pool, balance the water chemistry, teach you how everything works, and hand you the keys to your new backyard. Just add family and friends.
Key Benefits
Investment Range
